She told him that her phone battery was low, but the suspect insisted on coming back later with his power bank to charge the victim’s phone. Unfortunately, when he returned very late, the victim made the mistake of allowing him into her room, where he proceeded to attack her, grabbing her by the neck and stabbing her in the chest with a knife he had brought along. The police were able to trace the suspect through the active SIM card in the phone, which he had taken from the victim. The suspect had been using the phone during the day and would hide it in an uncompleted building near the hostel. It was discovered that he had also destroyed the victim’s SIM card and inserted his own in order to avoid detection. However, the police were able to uncover his actions and ultimately capture the suspect.
