Lagos Rapid Response Squad operatives(RRS) have apprehended a 21-year-old Temple Samuel for reportedly stealing his boss’ Lexus ES 330 car.
The defendant was apprehended in the Ogba area of Lagos State with 3 others, which goes by the name Benjamin Bassey aged 32, Chukwuemeka Okorie aged 29, and Joshua Agboche aged 37, who had schemed with him to get rid of the car.
An investigation has it that the defendant who works in his boss’ car wash at Egbeda fled with the car away at midnight, alongside his boss’ iPhone X and iPhone 13 to Bassey’s apartment in Ikeja. He also swindled and transferred N75,000 from his boss’ account.
The defendant had ameliorated plans to use the money obtained from the sales of the car and other valuables he stole to process his visa out of the country.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesman of the state police command stated that the Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, has ordered that the case should be sent to the State CID, Panti for more inquiry and prosecution.
