The moment a huge flood killed five tenents as building crashes in Kogi

Five people have been reported dead after a storey building homing people oust by flood crashes in Ibaji Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The deed occurs in the early hours of Thursday, October 27, in the Ayah community.

The departed bodies were four females and one male, a statement given by Mr. Onalo Achimugu, the Community Development Officer (CDO) of Ibaji local government, who verified the occurrence.

The victims were said to have taken protection in the same storey building, waiting for the flooded water to retract before moving back to their different homes.

In a report Achimugwu gave

“At about 1:00 am today, some of the Ibaji LGA flood victims living in one of the storey buildings in Ayah Camp, Ibaji LGA, lost their lives, while others were wounded”.

With the acquiescence of Iko-Ojo Obiora, the local government chairman, some of the wounded people have been taken to the Irrua in Edo State, and others to Idah for proper treatment, he also reported.
