Mercy Eke, a reality TV personality, has responded after a Twitter user called her out for allegedly lying about her age.

The issue began when Mercy rushed to Twitter to show off her PVC while asking other Nigerians to do the same ahead of the federal elections.

Mercy Eke, who celebrated her 29th birthday only a few months ago, blacked off her date of birth when she shared the PVC photo.

However, a curious Twitter user used additional information on the card to find Mercy’s profile—she was shown to be 32 years old from her government-issued voter’s card.

“You covered your date of birth and left VIN that shows everything about you. Does this make sense to you?. Anyway, I’m here to inform your that I just found out that you are 32 years of age. Don’t come here 29th Sept and claim 25 years o. Have a nice day”, the Twitter user wrote.

In reaction, Mercy clarified in a now-deleted tweet that her date of birth on her permanent voter card was incorrect and that she did not mislead about her age.

“You all are so dense. So I should not collect my PVC because of a common mistake in my name, occupation and dob. Don’t worry I will sponsor your tears on my 30th”, she wrote in part.
