Enugu State saw its first rain of the year 2021 on Thursday, March 3rd, bringing relief from the oppressive heat.
The rain began around 9 p.m., with a strong breeze before it, and continued for more than 40 minutes.
Rain fell in almost all regions of Enugu city, providing a welcome respite from the hard conditions brought on by the dry weather.
Mr Johnson Odo, a friend who lives in Gariki, Enugu North local government area, said it was a huge relief since “we are already melting as humans.”
“We now have a pleasant atmosphere that is much appreciated.” The heat has been unbearable,” Odo explained.
