Despite their young age, these stars have been able to prove their talent and soared the image of the Afrobeat genre to the top via the influence of their energy.

They have risen to the peak that some of them are even competing with the big names in the Afrobeat forum.

Their incredible qualities have infused enormously that we have outlined them. We shall discuss their status below.

Rema 

Divine Ikubor who is popularly known by his stage name Rema in no doubt has earned the first spot in this category.

He is a Nigerian singer, Rapper and songwriter that is recognised as the face of the Afrobeat new generation. This is not just given but was earned by him.

The Nigerian sensational breakout star with all costs of belief deservedly earned his place in this category. He’s currently the second-best youngster in the Afrobeat forum and may surpass Rema anytime soon.

Asake only needed the right spot to display his talent which was handed to him by Olamide who boosted his career by signing him to YBNL Record Label.

Just after he was unveiled as a YBNL signee, without hesitation, he released ‘Omo Ope’ and ‘sungba’ featuring Burna Boy which marked his greatness. He released an enormous number of hit songs that attracted a massive fan base to his status.  Including an album, ‘Mr Money with the vibe’ that has so far ranked as the fastest Nigerian album to achieve many peaks.

Since he debuted in the Afrobeat forum, he has been able to dominate the Nigerian charts with his singles. No one has spent more days than Asake on the first spot of Nigerian major music streaming platforms. His songs bodied the 1st spot to the 10th spot making him an instant star.

Fireboy  

The Nigerian sensational singer publicly known by his stage name, Fireboy also has earned a peak people can confidently tag the spark of the Afrobeat new generation.

Just like the Afrobeat gem, Olamide is publicly known for his impact on the growth of the Nigerian music firm and his taste in discovering new talent, Fireboy was graced.

He signed the youngster to YBNL after he had explored him several times. Fireboy didn’t quite hesitate to prove his potential which did in a blink of an eye.

He released a couple of hit songs including ‘Jealous’ and a hit debut album that attracted a massive fan base to him both globally and around Africa as a whole.

Fireboy DML became the first Nigerian artist to top the UK music chart for days after featuring Ed Sheeran on his hit song ‘Peru’.

He has also won countless major music awards since he debuted in the Nigerian music firm.

Tems 

Nigerian Afrobeat feminine who is known popularly for her incredible musical qualities unarguably has earned her place in this category. She has evolved to be world-class.

Before Wizkid’s impact, she was a solo artist who believed in his dream. Her light sparked after she released a couple of hit songs including ‘Try me’ that swerved Nigerians’ attention on her. They streamed her songs massively to the extent that Wizkid discovered her talent and contacted her.

Tems would go on to become the Nigerian heated Afrobeat Feminine after her collaboration with Wizkid became a buoyancy. The song ‘Essence’ identified as one of the hit tracks of Wizkid’s fourth studio album ‘Made In Lagos’ featuring Tems emerged to be the song of the summer. The young star born in the year 2002 was unveiled by Don Jazzy as a Mavin Record signee in the year 2021 which was followed by the release of her debut EP which consist of several hit songs that defined her musical qualities.

This earned her an incredible fan base that thrust her debut album “19 & Dangerous” which helped boosted her incredible career.

To date, she has topped Nigerian music charts severally with different phases of solo hit songs. Her latest hit song, “Rush” present this fact.

BNXN 

Nigerian Afrobeat maestro, Buju who is currently identified as BNXN is another gem that has deservedly earned his place in this category.

Under Burna Boy, he took his time and studied the singers’ lyrical, melodic and genre qualities which infused his poor musical qualities.

After he had arisen to strive for his peak, he featured Blaqbonez on the song ‘Bling’ and Ladipoe on the song ‘Feeling’. Due to the beauty of the songs, Nigerians gave him the support he needed and streamed his songs massively.

He released a couple of solo songs and an EP which had so far earned him cars and a headies award that represents the 2022 next-rated artist.
