DJ Maphorisa (or rather Madumane) is a South African record producer, DJ, and performer, born Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe on November 15, 1987. He has worked with and gained production credits from various renowned musicians, including Wizkid, Sizwe Alakine, Kwesta, Uhuru, Drake, Black Coffee, Major Lazer, Runtown, C4 Pedro, TRESOR, Kabza De Small, and Era Istrefi, as a record producer with a combination of house music, amapiano, and afropop. After leaving Kalawa Jazmee Records, he started his own musical company, BlaqBoy Music.
