Dumebi Kachikwu denounces the ‘Ebubeagu operators’ who allegedly murdered 7 youths.

The massacre of seven youths in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State, purportedly by “Ebubeagu Operatives,” was strongly denounced on Tuesday by Mr. Dumebi Kachikwu, the ADC’s presidential candidate.

In a statement released by his campaign headquarters in Abuja, Kachikwu urged on the police and other security agencies to promptly apprehend and bring charges against those responsible for the heinous crime while also describing it as barbaric and cruel.

The young people were allegedly slain when they were leaving a customary wedding in Awomama, Oru East L.G.A.

According to reports, five more people are still missing after the incident.

“This murder is absolutely abhorrent and demonstrates man’s inhumanity to man. How can a security organization that claims to have been created to shield a vulnerable populace from threats and assaults turn its weapons on family members? ”

He urged South East leaders, particularly the Ohanaeze Ndigbo and all other thought leaders in the region, to cooperate with local communities to stop the undesirable development in its tracks.

The South East cannot afford this kind of bloodshed, especially when young people who will become future leaders are being murdered in such a heinous and brutal way.

In order to safeguard the populace from unwarranted attacks and deaths of residents, particularly innocent youngsters, by dishonest individuals disguising themselves as Ebubeagu security officers, Kachikwu remarked, “The problems of existence in the country are becoming Herculean.”

He urged the Ebubeagu authorities to enforce discipline among their employees by making sure that their agents receive thorough background checks and instruction on how to defend their localities.

He also urged them to guard against those infiltrating their ranks for evil purposes.
