One-time Minister of Information, and Elder statesman, Edwin Clark has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s current medical tour to the United Kingdom is said to be unlawful.
On Monday, October 31st, Buhari flew out of the country for a “regular medical check-up” in London and is expected to be back in the country in two weeks’ time, as claimed by Femi Adesina the Presidential Spokesperson.
Furthermore, Punch Newspaper releases that, on Tuesday, November 1, in a press conference, Clark claimed that Buhari’s tour is unlawful, cause he failed to submit a letter to the National Assembly, didn’t tell Nigerians the “cause of his illness” also didn’t transfer the power of authority to Yemi Osinbajo.
Meanwhile, Edwin Clark alleged Buhari of using taxpayers’ funds for medical tours and failing to tell Nigerians about his sickness, also disclosed that lack of transmission of power to then Vice President Goodluck Jonathan by President Umaru Musa Yar’adua caused a constitutional disaster which also caused the approval of an ideology of fundamental.
