Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the creator of the esteemed Africa Movies Academy Awards (AMAA Awards), has passed away.
According to information obtained by Six9ja Media, Anyiam-Osigwe allegedly passed away on Monday at St. Nicolas Hospital in Lagos.

According to another source, one of the foundational figures in Nigeria’s entertainment sector has been unconscious since Saturday.
Famous filmmaker Zik Zulu broke the news, yet some of her coworkers and close friends have failed to accept it.
He started on a Nollywood platform, “Our President, Peace, has passed. As of Saturday, she was reported to be in a coma at Saint Nicholas. But now her family has confirmed her transition. May the memory of her life be a blessing. Rest in peace, dear Peace.”
On his social media accounts, award-winning producer Obi Emelonye also announced her demise.

The hardworking woman’s contributions to the business cannot be overstated, and she will be recognized as one of those who helped create the new Nollywood.
In addition to founding the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), Peace Anyiam-Osigwe was also one of the most well-known individuals in Nollywood and the President of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP).
