Four students tragically drown at Lagos Beach as they celebrating their WASSCE results.

On Tuesday, August 16, four Kuramo Senior College Lekki pupils reportedly drowned at Elegushi beach in Lagos.

The 10 pupils that stormed the beach to celebrate their achievement in the West African Examination Council School Certificate Examination this year included the victims (WASSCE).

The pupils are estimated to be between the ages of 14 and 16.

At the time of publication, the identities of the deceased were not made public.

The event was verified by Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, in a statement he posted on Twitter.
