“I am not a hater of the church,” a thief writes after stealing from a church.

A robber who broke into a church and stole church equipment left a heartfelt statement to explain his actions.

After participants had left for the evening service, the robber is claimed to have raided the Pentecost-English Assembly in Bogoso, in Ghana’s Western Region, and took away two amplifiers, a hard drive, and other valuables.

Church members returned the next day to find the auditorium had been robbed, as well as the note that the burglar had left in the church, according to local news agencies.

The thief pleaded for God’s blessings in the note, while also reminding the church that only Jesus supported a thief on the cross.

Samuel Kumi, the church’s Presiding Elder, confirmed the story, saying the Bogoso Police Command has formally initiated investigations that could lead to the thief’s arrest.
