After being released from the detention of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, vocalist DBanj has spoken out (ICPC).
When D’Banj went to the agency on Tuesday, December 6, to answer inquiries about his alleged role in the fraudulent diverting of funds intended for the N-Power project—a youth empowerment initiative launched by the Nigerian government back in 2016 to combat youth unemployment and advance social development—he was detained.
On Friday, December 9, he was freed after three days of interrogation.
This evening, D’Banj said on his Instagram feed that he had no dealings with fraud. His message reads:
”Global thank you to the world. I was invited on an ongoing investigation in ICPC. I have assisted the commission with all I know and I am confident in their capacity to unravel the truth. I have no business with fraud, all I do is chop life. I was released on self-recognition because nothing was seen or found on me. God bless you all my people.”
