Jungle Justice – Enraged mob kill accused armed robber and rapist in Ibadan

Aggressive residents in Ibadan, Oyo State, have murdered a man accused to be a serial armed robber and rapist.

The report had it that a gang of robbers had purportedly been pestering neighborhoods in Apete, Ido Local Government Area, over several weeks.

Around 4 am on Wednesday, April 5, one out of the suspected armed robbers was caught while on an operation in the Adagbada Arola area in Apete.

Meanwhile, the suspected armed robber stole two women’s cell phones and an undetermined sum of money by force. He attempted to rape one of them while holding the other captive inside a toilet.

Fortunately enough, one of the ladies who was locked in the toilet managed to escape and neighbors were made aware, and they then murdered the suspect.

Later, the incident was brought to the notice of police officers from Apete Divisional Headquarters on Wednesday.

When the corpse was discovered by the police, it was taken to Adeoyo state hospital.
