More than a decade after his passing, Nigerian rapper, Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun, better known as Dagrin, has been included in a list of criminals wanted in Sierra Leone. The Sierra Leonean police reportedly released a poster which showed the list of wanted criminals and it included a photograph of the late artiste. It has been causing a stir on social media mainly because the rap artiste known as Dagrin died in 2010.

Dagrin, a Nigerian rapper better known by his stage name Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun, has been added to a list of fugitives sought in Sierra Leone more than ten years after his death.

A poster with a picture of the late artist and a list of wanted offenders was purportedly published by the Sierra Leonean police.

Social media has been buzzing about it mostly since Dagrin, a rap artist, passed away in 2010.

A Twitter user @Jeen_Yous who resides in Sierra Leone, shared the poster on the micro-blogging platform.

The late Nigerian rapper Dagrin is among those included in photos of wanted individuals released by the Sierra Leone Police as participants in the violent protest last week.

I’ll never stop being amazed by this country, the tweet declares.

When a different user suggested that it may be an instance of a doppelgänger, @Jeen Yous provided a reverse search photograph of Dagrin clutching a pistol in an internet article.

The late rapper Dagrin’s name, according to Nigerian R&B musician Chuddy K, has kept him out of jail on several occasions even years after his passing.

The performer revealed this while a guest on the Jahbless Original Intelligence show.

After colliding with a stalled trailer in front of the Alakara Police Station in April 2010, Dagrin perished.

When Chuddy K was on his way to a gig at night and his tire exploded on the third Mainland bridge, three hoodlums confronted him.

He said that while they attempted to hurt him, they remembered his connection to DaGrin only when he identified himself.

The singer of “Gaga Crazy” said how the thugs, who were armed with pistols and knives, forced him to play his hit song for them before letting him go for his performance.
