Following a military operation at their renowned hideout, ‘Ghana Village,’ in Niger State’s Mariga Local Government Area, 200 terrorists are said to have met their doom.
According to a report by PRNigeria, the terrorists were killed on Wednesday as a result of air raids by the Nigerian Military’s Air Component of Operation Thunder Strike and Operation Gama Aiki.
According to the report, the attack occurred between 4.45 and 6.34 p.m. at certain Ghanaian bandit camps.
The terrorists had been under observation for some time, according to PRNigeria, and were seen in three distinct groups of roughly 40 terrorists, each with at least 25 motorbikes.
Rather than attacking each group individually, which would not accomplish the desired result, the surveillance team patiently waited until the three groups assembled around Ghana Village and then attacked, killing over 200 terrorists.

According to a military intelligence source familiar with the operation, “at least 150 terrorists were killed in the hit.”
According to the informant, just a few survivors were observed crawling or barely hobbling away from the scene, which the ground soldiers quickly swept up.
Meanwhile, the State Government verified the death of around 200 terrorists in several villages in Mariga LGAs and other areas of the state between February 28 and March 2 through the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Internal Affairs, Emmanuel Umar.

When contacted, NAF spokesperson Edward Gabkwet acknowledged that the strikes on terrorists’ sites were approved and carried out alongside sister services and security agencies.
The strikes, he claims, were carried out after days of meticulous reconnaissance to minimize unintentional victims.
