One pregnant Nigerian woman put to birth on a Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul, Turkey to Manchester, UK.
On Monday, September 5, Nweke Ifeoma went into labour while on the flight and she delivered a baby girl.
Cabin crew tried to take the Nigerian citizen to a more sequestered part of the aircraft and announced over the public address system if there was any doctor on available.
Fortunately enough, a doctor came forward and alongside the air hosts and hostesses, assisted deliver the tot at 33,000ft.
While the cabin crew cut the newborn’s umbilical cord, the pilot averted the plane to Vienna International Airport in Austria.
In accordance with the statement made by Turkish Airlines on Tuesday, September 6, the flight was averted to Vienna International Airport, where the medical assistant awaits the arrival of the mother and the new baby.

According to the statement it added “Cabin crew members are trained for these type of situations.”
The medical assistant met the mum and her new baby on the tarmac before taking them to the hospital.
Luckily, both were found to be in good health, although the baby’s name and weight is yet to be unveiled.
