The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has caught about 18 non-Nigerian over the reported claim of permanent voter cards (PVCs) in Oyo.
The NIS comptroller in the state, Isah Dansuleiman, revealed this in a warning record for the sponsors of the general election of 2023, on Wednesday, November 2, reports that the migrant was caught during a search carried out across the state in October, and they were later banished.
Dansuleiman however convinces Nigerians to report any migrant trying to participate in the general election.
“No migrant, regardless of their status, should participate in the 2023 general elections, and any migrant caught in possession of a voter card will face the full wrath of the law.
“Those using them know their status but use them for their selfish reasons to procure voter cards.”
