Nnamdi Kanu’s terrorist charges have been changed by FG

The Federal Government has issued an updated seven-count terrorist accusation on Nnamdi Kanu, the jailed founder of IPOB.

The updated case, FHC/ABJ/CR/383/2015, filed just before Federal High Court in Abuja, included all charges against Kanu previously upheld by the judge.

According to the Federal Government, Kanu, who is now in detention by the Department of State Service, DSS, made a lethal warning through broadcasting that anybody who disobeyed IPOB’s sit-at-home command in the South-East must prepare his or her will.

It informed the court that as a consequence of the menace, banks, schools, shops, shopping complexes, and petrol stations in Nigeria’s Eastern states has proceeded to close their doors, stranding individuals and vehicles.

According to the federal govt, Kanu made many announcements in 2018 inciting his followers to murder security personnel and their families.

It was stated that the offense was penalized under Section 1(2)(h) of the Terrorism Prevention Amendment Act of 2013.
