EARLY LIFE

Paul Okoye was born on the 18th of November, 1981, and hails from Ifite, Dunu area of Anambra State of Nigeria, but resides in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.

He has a sibling who is a twin and his name is Peter Okoye (Mr.P).

Rudeboy is one of many siblings, including his twin brother, Jude Okoye, Tony Okoye, Mary Okoye, Ifeanyi Okoye, and Lilian Okoye. Rudeboy grew up in a huge household with other siblings, including his twin brother, Tony Okoye, and Mary Okoye.

In common parlance, they are referred to as “The Okoye Family” or “P-square Family.”

They are indigenes of Anambra State but the family stayed in Jos, Plateau State during the 1980s and 1990s.

Rudeboy, also known as Paul Okoye, has had a lot of success in the music industry with his twin brother. They started out as a cappella group and found inspiration in Michael Jackson’s dance skills, which they studied, perfected, and finally used to get bookings for their gigs in and around Jos, Nigeria.

They went on to produce an additional album named’Get Squared’in 2005 under the Squared Records label, which includes the song’Busy Body ‘. Psquare owned their first album, which was titled ‘Last Nite,’ and it was sponsored by a tobacco-producing corporation. This earned them a KORA Awards nomination. This song was a huge success both within and outside of the country, and it gained a lot of attention as a result.

Exactly, two years later, they published a still different smashing record named ‘Game Over’ and this was their most unfathomable selling album with around 8 million copies distributed. Big names in American music such as Akon, Rick Ross, and T.I. all contributed to this album, which included their songs such as “Chop My Money,” “Onyinye,” and “Ejeajo.” Notably, they have also published additional albums, such as ‘Danger’ in 2009, ‘The Invasion’ in 2011, and ‘Double trouble’ in 2014. The former album was released in 2009, while the latter two were released in 2011 and 2014. However, since he and his brother, Peter Okoye, went their own ways, he has been quite consistent in delivering interesting songs to his star.

On March 22, 2014, Paul “Rudeboy” Okoye wed Anita Okoye, a woman he had known since 2004 while they both attended the University of Abuja.
