Nigeria is tense as a result of a slew of concerns that are circulating. The matter of unknown shooters shooting church worshippers at a Catholic church in a tiny hamlet in Ondo State has yet to be resolved.
In addition, the country is in the midst of a heated election season. Many Nigerians have pushed others to obtain their PVCs in order to vote out the country’s elder statesmen. Reno Omokri, amid the heightened tensions, has encouraged celebrities to refrain from uploading attractive photos at a time when many people have been killed.
He tweeted, “As celebrities, please be sensitive to the national mood. Dozens of our citizens were killed 48 hours ago during a church service in the #OwoMassacre. Perhaps now is not the time to release sexy and half-naked photos. It makes us all look like an uncaring nation of degenerates!”
“You have influence as a celebrity. #OwoMassacre occurred. Rather than use your celebrity to help victims, you use it to market your semi-nakedness. Is this the right time for that? “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens”-Eccl 3:1.”
