Timaya is apprehended by the police.

A popular Nigerian musician, Timaya was detained by uniformed personnel hours after he was accused of striking a lady with his car in Ikate, Lagos, according to a video.

On Wednesday, March 2, a lady posted a video of her sister bleeding from the face while laying in a hospital bed online.

Timaya was accused by the lady of striking her sister with his car and then driving away, leaving her to fend for herself.

Timaya allegedly damaged her sister’s car, and when the sister came out to confront him, he slammed her with his car and sped away, according to the lady.

Following the event, she uploaded images of her conversations to Timaya on Instagram, as well as the fact that Timaya banned her on Instagram when she confronted him about striking her sister.

She shared screenshots of her messages to Timaya on Instagram following the incident and added that Timaya blocked her on IG when she confronted him about hitting her sister.

Timaya didn’t acknowledge the allegation; instead, he continued tweeting as nothing happened, which angered social media users. He has now been arrested.

Today, a video shared online shows uniformed officers picking him up from his house.
