Tragedy in Onitsha Main Market as fire destroyed shops and offices (Video)

Today, a strange fire outbreak destroyed shops and offices at the popular Onitsha Main Market in Anambra State.

Mr. Barth Ifediora, who witnessed the incident, said the fire started in the early hours of Tuesday, March 21, 2023, in a market segment known as the White House.

The White House is the market leaders’ office, a spacious two-story structure with various offices and conference spaces on the first and second floors, and stores on the ground floor.

He said;

“The area mostly affected by the fire is the block of shops under the white house, where expensive lace materials are sold.”

Traders have assembled at the market to quench the fire.
