Two Men Arrested For Allegedly Stealing Ram In Ogun State Ahead Of Eid-il-Kabir Festival

Ahead of this weekend’s Eid-Il-Kabir festival, the Ogun State Police Command is said to have detained two men in Ogun State for allegedly stealing a ram.

The suspects who were identified as Adetunji Alagbe and Opeyemi Ogunlokun were arrested on Tuesday, 5th July 2022 after a report was lodged against them by one Sodiq Abolore who happens to be the owner of the ram.

The ram’s owner claims that as he was dozing off in his bed at around three in the morning, he noticed an odd noise coming from his yard, which prompted him to check out the window.

He peered out his window to discover that the iron gate he had used to bar access to the room where the Sallah ram was kept had been torn down.

The victim indicated that he stepped out of his room only to discover that his Sallah ram, which he had paid N120,000 for, was no longer there, according to the Ogun State Image Maker, Abimbola Oyeyemi.

When the victim went looking for the ram, he noticed three individuals shoving it into a waiting Mazda car booth, which prompted him to raise the alarm and dial 911 for help.

These three males were stopped and pursued by the police, but they were only able to apprehend two of them; the third man is still on the loose.
