On Monday morning, October 24 gunman attacked St. Louis high school, Killed two people, and injured seven.
According to St Louis police, the spokesperson said three people died, including the shooter, after the shooting.
Police Commissioner Michael Sack, speaking at the news conference, said the three persons who died included a woman, a teenage girl, and the shooter reported as a man of about 20 years old.
In south St. Louis, Missouri, the Central High School for the Visual and Performing Arts was the location of the shooting just after 9 o’clock in the morning.
As soon as the gunfire began, kids immediately began to block doors and hide in the corners of their classrooms. Others attempted to escape the danger by leaping out of windows and running out of the building.
Sack said that security authorities got first concerned when the gunman attempted to enter the secured school facility. He refused to comment on how the individual managed to get inside.
Officers, “went to that firing, identified that gunman, and engaged that shooter in an exchange of gunfire,” ultimately resulting in the shooter’s death, according to Sack.
Sack did not identify the victims or specify whether the lady who was slain worked as an educator. He also did not name the victims.
Another six persons who were hurt were sent to the hospital. According to Sack, some of the victims were hit by shrapnel, while others had gunshot wounds. He did not provide any details or information on their ailments.
Taniya Gholston, who is 16 years old, said to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that she was in a room when the shooter came in.
“All I heard was two shots and he came in there with a gun,” Gholston said. “And I was trying to run and I couldn’t run. Me and him made eye contact but I made it out because his gun got jammed. But we saw blood on the floor.”
