Funke Akindele, a well-known Nigerian actress and candidate for deputy governor of Lagos state for the Peoples Democratic Party, has been to two churches to thank God for her 45th birthday.

The actress-turned-politician shared a video of her time at a church to thank God on her verified Instagram page.

The actor, who has won many awards, wrote in the post’s caption, “You show me the way of life; in your presence, there is fullness of joy; at your right hand, there are pleasures forever.”

“On Sunday, August 28, 2022, the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) SBJ Oshoffa Memorial Cathedral joined me in celebrating my 45th birthday and giving thanks. I worshipped with the congregation, and I can’t describe how happy it made me worship at the Celestial Church of Christ, where I am not a stranger.

The movie star also said that after her Thanksgiving service at the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) SBJ Oshoffa Memorial Cathedral, she went to another church.

She said, “From there, I joined people at the Celestial Church of Christ, Wonderland Cathedral, Jesus Palace, Alaguntan, Iyana Ipaja to celebrate the 2022 Annual Prophet & Prophetess Anniversary and give the new year to God.”

“I am humbled by the dedication of the body of Christ in Alimosho LGA, and I look to their example of stewardship and unwavering faith as I take on my biggest task yet.” My mood was lifted, and I enjoyed both services to the fullest. #funkeakindele.”
