Yemi Eberechi Alade, better known by her stage name Yemi Alade, is a Nigerian musician and songwriter who rose to prominence in the music industry with the release of her song “Johnny” in 2014. The track became a worldwide smash success. Because of the impact she has had in so many different regions of the globe, she is often regarded as one of Africa’s most prominent celebrities. In addition, she is well-known for the albums “Queen” and “Mama Africa,” both of which achieved commercial success. On Beyoncé’s Lion King soundtrack, “The Gift,” which was released in 2019, Yemi Alade was one of a handful of African artists that contributed to the record. Early Life & Career
Yemi Alade was born and reared in a family that had members of more than one tribe. Her paternal grandfather, James Alade, is from the state of Ondo, while her maternal grandmother, Helen Uzoma, was born and raised in the state of Abia. During her time at the university, Alade competed in and became victorious from the Peak Talent Show. As a direct consequence of this, Effyzzie Music Group decided to contract her.
