Yemi Osinbajo is the best Presidential candidate- Babangida Aliyu

According to the PDP Chieftain, Osinbajo is the only candidate who knows the nation and has the support of all Nigerians.

Babangida Aliyu, the former governor of Niger State, believes Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo is the APC’s strongest contender for the 2023 presidential election.

Any ‘riff-raff’ or’moneybags’, according to Aliyu, will be barred from becoming Nigeria’s next president in 2023.

This was stated by a PDP chieftain at the foundation’s 2022 annual lecture in Kano State.

“Do you realize, Mr. Vice President, that you are your party’s best candidate?” Osinbajo, who was also there, was questioned by the ex-governor.

He went on to say that the vice president is the only candidate who knows the country and has the support of everyone, regardless of tribe or religion.

“Mr. Vice President, wherever you go, we will follow,” said Justice Sidi Bage (rtd), the Emir of Lafia, who was also a guest speaker at the ceremony.

Aliyu’s recent remark regarding the president in 2023 created controversy, with members of his party dismissing his assertion.

The ex-governor claimed the PDP stakeholders and leaders had decided to zone the party’s presidential ticket to the north, despite calls for a southern presidency.

PDP officials, on the other hand, have dismissed claims that the party’s presidential ticket is still accessible to all six geographical areas of the nation.
