2O23: What Tinubu And Jonathan Did Yesterday… Fani-Kayode Revealed

Former Aviation Minister of Nigeria, Femi Fani-Kayode, has given his thoughts on what All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential contender Bola Tinubu’s meeting with ex-president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan represented ahead of the 2023 elections.

According to Six9ja News, Tinubu and his vice presidential candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, together with other APC politicians paid Jonathan a tour on Tuesday this week.

The visit comes months after rumors that the APC would run Jonathan for the presidency in the 2023 general election. The allegation grew after a group acquired the winning party’s candidacy paperwork for the former.

The uncertainty was put to rest when Jonathan did not show up for the APC’s presidency interview.

In response to the visit, Fani-Kayode rushed to Twitter to declare that this is what Tinubu and Jonathan just do on Tuesday demonstrating to the nation that both of them have class and what genuine leadership.

Furthermore, After his resignation to the APC, Fani-Kayode, a renowned opponent of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), praised Jonathan’s politeness and leadership behavior.

He said that the PDP leader is one of the important assets which has occurred to Nigeria.

However, The APC chairman tweeted: “Goodluck Jonathan is one of the most civilized, compassionate, capable & humane leaders that this country has ever known.

“I believed it in 2015 & I believe it today. I am delighted that Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, our incoming President and Vice President respectively, had the presence of mind, maturity, decency & humility to honor him with a visit yesterday in order to brief him about their efforts & plans for our collective future as a nation & to pay their respects.

“I am also moved & touched by the fact that, despite all the differences & challenges of the past, Jonathan received them so warmly and with such respect & joy. This is a clear case of politics without bitterness & it portends great things for the future. What Tinubu and Jonathan did yesterday was to prove to the world that they both have class & show what true leadership is all about.

“I thank God for their exemplary behavior, inspiring leadership, and respective lives.”
