Moses Okoh, a 22-year-old University of Jos student on prosecution in a Jos High Court for the alleged murder of his 20-year-old lover, Jennifer Anthony, sang in court while witnesses testified against him.
Okoh is accused of murdering Anthony and removing her eyes and other body parts on December 31, 2021, according to the police.
During the trial, a witness, Akubo Lazarus of Busa Buji, Jos, a receptionist at the Domus Pacis Hotel in Jos, said that on Dec. 31, 2021, he accepted the accused person as a guest and placed him in room 302.
“The accused, who registered as Moses Oche, arrived at our hotel at 4 p.m. on December 31, alone. However, the late Jennifer joined him a few hours later, and he hastily rushed downstairs and took her up to the room.”
“When I arrived in the room, I saw a lifeless female body on the floor in a pool of her own blood; I sounded an alert, but he had already fled the premises,” he explained.

Mrs. Elizabeth Dung, a kitchen assistant at the Domus Pacis Hotel, told the court that on the day of the murder, she gave the defendant two plates of food and silverware.
“Having worked in the kitchen for a long time, I am familiar with all of the silverware, and the fork handed to me in the court now is the same one I served him that day.”
“I recognize the accused as the same guy I provided meals to on December 31, and the fork is the same fork I served him, but it was not bent or stained with blood when I served him,” she stated.
