Olawale Ashimi, better known by his stage name Brymo, is a Nigerian rapper who has received criticism from media figure Daddy Freeze for his anti-Igbo statements.
According to a previous Six9ja News story, the rapper faced criticism for saying that the quest for Biafra would make an Igbo presidency nothing more than a “pipe dream.” The artist has criticized Peter Obi, the flagbearer for the Labour Party, running for the presidency sit.
“As long as there (are) talks by prominent people from Igboland about Biafra, an Igbo presidency will be a pipe dream,” he had tweeted.

Brymo has maintained his position despite criticism from fans and other celebrities, saying that he was not remorseful for his statements that were labeled “anti-Igbo.”
On Wednesday, Daddy Freeze addressed the issue on Instagram and pleaded with Brymo to make amends to the Igbo people or face the consequences.

He stated: “Dear Brymo, I respect you. Don’t throw that respect down the drain. I know you have the right to an opinion. However, this isn’t an opinion, this is ‘H8’ speech and will cost you your fans and followers. I would recommend an apology to the igbos.”
