He became the face of the Nigerian music artists following how he became the first Nigerian artist to have won the first golden record in Nigeria, West Africa and Africa presented by Philips, West Africa for his song “Joromi” in 1996.

He went further and bagged a whopping numbers of 12 major music awards. This allowed him to perform in great countries like the United States, Russia, Japan, United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Romania, Germany, France, Hungary, Rome, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin Republic, Spain, and Canada.

Victor Olaiya
