Nigerian Afropop artist Oxlade has described his first encounter with David Adeleke, better known by his stage as Davido, of the Afrobeats genre.

The performer claimed that Davido gave him a full wardrobe from his collection of pricey clothing when they first met.

During a discussion, Oxlade explained that he and Fireboy DML’s song release from years prior was the catalyst for their meeting.

He revealed that when he first joined to YBNL Nation, he and Fireboy created and released a song because they thought the company would reject it.

Davido heard the song “Sing” after it was released and remarked that he plays it repeatedly.

The Away crooner also took to Twitter to say;

”Where has Oxlade been all my life?” Oxlade said he was sleeping when a friend woke him up to see that Davido tweeted about him.

He claimed that OBO welcomed him into his home, handed him a whole collection of clothes from his closet, and drove him out that night.

Oxlade stated that he additionally met Burna Boy as well as other big names that night and realized that his moment had arrived to flourish.
